UMLR Advisory Board Member and international law practitioner George R. Harper passed away on February 20, 2017. Harper was a partner at the firm he founded in 2002, Harper Meyer Perez Hagen O’Connor Albert & Dribin. He was also actively involved in the South Florida legal community, serving as president of the Inter-American Bar Association in 2005 and as chair of the International Law Section of The Florida Bar in 1989-1990.
A memorial to celebrate Mr. Harper’s contributions to the legal, banking and business communities will be held on March 15. A service will be held from 5-6:30 PM at Gusman Concert Hall, 1314 Miller Dr., Coral Gables, followed by a reception at the Alma Jennings Foundation Student Lounge from 6:30-8 PM.
