UMLR Member Selected For Iron Arrow

UMLR‘s Articles and Comments Editor, Suzanne M. Aldahan, has been selected for membership in the Iron Arrow Honor Society.

Iron Arrow is the highest honor attained at the University of Miami. Based on Seminole Indian tradition, Iron Arrow recognizes those individuals in the University of Miami community who exemplify the five qualities of Iron Arrow: Love of Alma Mater, Character, Leadership, Scholarship, and Humility.

Fellow UMLR member Sara Klock reflected on Suzanne’s achievement: “When I think of Iron Arrow I think of Suzanne. She is both genuinely humble and kind. But don’t let that fool you, she’s one of the smartest and dedicated people I know. Anything that she is a part of, whether it be UMLR or Chairing the Dean’s Cup Committee, she will give it 110%, no questions asked. When I first met her, I didn’t quite understand why she loved UM so much. To give a little insight, her car has multiple UM bumper stickers and her wardrobe primarily consists of UM apparel. But I understand it so much more, because I’ve had the privilege of seeing UM through her eyes and experiences. I am so beyond honored and lucky to call Suzanne a peer, study-mate, and most importantly my best friend. And I am so happy that she has received the highest honor UM has–Iron Arrow.”

We’re so proud of you, Suzanne!
