The Law Review would like to congratulate UMLR Executive Editor Jean Phillip Shami whose Student Comment, titled “A Promise Realized? A Critical Review of Accountable Care Organizations Since the Enactment of the Affordable Care Act,” has been selected as a finalist for the 2017 Brown Award. The Award, sponsored by the Judge John R. Brown Scholarship Foundation, is in recognition of Excellence in Legal Writing in American Law Schools. Shami is one of five finalists selected and the winner will be notified by January 31, 2017.
Shami’s paper was published in Volume 71’s current issue and had been awarded the “Best Student Note/Comment Award” by the members of Volume 70. We are very proud to see our members focus on such high achievement and be rewarded for that hard work! You can read Shami’s comment here.
